That's a good idea actually, bc it's basically impossible to actually consistently stay in legend rank, if you're not god level of player and or if you dont constantly grind

I think LP and MR should be different. MR should definitely be set based.

@@russellbailey5567 With characters that constantly get juiced with really good buttons to use, there's no reason to use the Training. I maybe used 5 minutes of Training mode for JP and I went from Diamond 1 to Master rank in a month after the game came out.

another problem with the elo ranking...Chess is FAR less volatile thant SF6. in chess it would be astoundingly rare for a 1200 to beat a 1800. Not so in SF6 when one scrubby wake up super is enough to win the match!

You lose drive gauge blocking. The game punishes you for blocking.

@@roncrudup2110 but hasn't there always been some kind of chip damage also you can parry I actually really like that aspect more then just chip damage that you cant really avoid

@@JobeLovo I am not saying that parry is good or bad per se. I am just pointing out that the game doesn’t want you to just sit there and block. If someone never blocks then make them pay for it I guess.

@@roncrudup2110 the game doesnt give you great ways to punish certain things.. so for example if i do 3 jabs in a row i cant even space myself safe from a cr mk... i can end the string with a fireball but thats shit damage.. that doesnt stop someone from mashing jab when the reward is drive rush into half your health... and then even when you do end your combo with a fireball say hello to drive impact lol

Naw ignore that noise. Its fun to play the game just to get better. Im diamond 4 manon rn and its been hard going up the ranks, but i study what i did right and what i did wrong every match. I treat this game like how i do martial arts. Study, drill, spar. Study, drill, spar. Rinse repeat and its starting to pay off. In short, best way to have fun in this game imo is to embrace the grind and dont sweat the points.

In sf5, there was only LP, but there was 20 tiers spanning from Rookie to Warlord. It was also account wide, rather than character specific. It has its own problems, as does 6.

@@markmessi9020 Its interesting because I also played Manon, I had shifted my focus back to DBFZ once the Rollback dropped. I've been thinking of getting back to playing SF6 with Manon again or even picking up a new character altogether. I figured playing again could help me improve my fundamentals for other games as well

I think Rank Match is way worse in Street Fighter 5 then it is in 6 because in Street Fighter 5 you lose fare too many points in Street Fighter 5 but you do have a point.

It feels bad seeing this even though I'm in Diamond. Honestly, its why running Custom Rooms like the Birds is just a better experience. Until they tweak it, people will just reach the MR rank they want, and park there for the rest of the season.

you get high points for win streaks. people smurfing do not stay in rookie long. I went from rookie to platinum in 10 minutes. Its really good at keeping me out of there. I didn't expect a rookie to rage quit on me. But I expected all ranks no matter what to do so. So many Master Rank rage quits too that I've uploaded on the channel. People just don't like smurfing. Unfortunately you can't do anything about higher skilled players playing lower level players either when you pick a different character and get placed in like diamond 1 at times.

a lot of streamers go from rookie to master as a challenge. Diaphone does a speed run attempt to Master Rank FChamp makes several accounts with multiple characters to go from low ranks to Legend Rank Nephew does it with a new character. Idrc though, people can hate me because the first minute they see a rookie player instead of realizing the entire player base rage quits. From rookie all the way to high MR which show across my channel. If people feel upset about it then so be it.

@@SonicSol this is true yes, I think the only thing I'd fault you on is that you are mocking these players for rage quitting but they never really stood a chance to win in the first place , like at best you are just going in there and stealing points just for the sake of it. even in the examples provided all the streamers you mentioned understand their own skill level and it's more a retrospective type deal rather than just a Smurf run. The ones I've seen usually have them land in high diamond. It's not the end of the world either like it's just a game at the end of the day it's just strange that someone of you're caliber would even want to do a Smurf run but more confusingly make fun of the players as well. Yeah they rage quit but to me two wrongs don't make a right here. At the end of the day the only ones really losing anything tangible here would be those players who you shouldn't even be playing. You could very easily land d5 and get master with any character in less than an hour and completely avoid the scenario.
